Your Nikon F6 will accommodate nearly all of the Nikon f mount lenses that have full metering capabilities other than those which are nonaperture indexing lenses.

The F6 has an electronic focal plane shutter made of an aluminum alloy and featuring Kevlar shutterblades.

It is comprised of a die cast chassis, with the rear cover and film covers made of an aluminum ally, while some of the parts are made of magnesium alloys. Specifically engineered and built for lowering noise and vibration it also has an S feature (silent) that permits it to give a more quiet frame advance.

Nikon users asked for and received an improvement in the F series ergonomics including tilted wheels for the controls, larger buttons and improvements in the shutter button.

Offering a vertical grip that detaches and a battery pack that is external this time, it also provides some of the same features that the F5 had, including the eleven zone auto focusing (with the nine cross sensoring)

It also boasts the ability to write your lens and exposure data to your memory card so that you can keep it for future use. A manual rewind for the film, a viewfinder that covers 100 percent of your photo round out the Nikon F6 package.

    This camera delivers good selection of choices, excellent picture quality. I think most if not all of the serious and professional photografers would agree with me. I had used Nikon cameras since 1964, own many models, and I'm still entusiastic about it's evolving qualities. Read more
