JVC UX-GP5

The JVC UX-GP5 is a micro component system that comes with a built-in iPod cradle, a CD player, an AM/FM digital radio tuner, and a speaker system. The main unit measures 6.50 x 9.94 x 10.06 and weighs 6.0 pounds. Each speaker measures 6.31 x 9.88 x 5.94 inches and weighs 3.6 pounds.

iPod Dock

The JVC UX-GP5’s built-in flip dock is located at the front of the main unit allowing its users to easily connect, control, and charge their iPods.

CD Player

The UX-GP5 features a tray loading CD player with a single disc capacity. The player can read factory-pressed CDs as well as consumer-burned CD-R and CD-RW media. Apart from these, it also supports MP3 and WMA digital media formats.

The JVC UX-GP5 offers program play, random play, one track repeat, and all tracks repeat playback modes. Its program play feature has a maximum capacity of 32 tracks.

The player is equipped with Sound Turbo and Active Hyper Bass PRO. It has a dynamic range of 88dB and a signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) of 85dB. It also has tone controls for electronic bass and treble.

Radio Tuner

The JVC UX-GP5’s digital AM/FM radio tuner comes with a loop antenna for AM and a wire antenna for FM. It has 15 preset AM stations and 30 present FM stations.

Speaker System

The UX-GP5’s full-range speaker system features 2 external speakers. Each speaker has a power output of 35 watts giving the entire system a total power output of 70 watts.

Additional Features

The JVC UX-GP5 comes with a built-in digital clock with timer options for sleep and alarm. The alarm can be programmable with up to 3 events. The system ships with an infrared remote control.
