Sony CMT-BX1

The Sony CMT-BX1 is a compact Hi-Fi component system featuring a single-disc CD player with MP3 music format support. This mini desktop micro system is composed of three components: a stylish main unit and two bass-reflex type speakers. The main unit measures approximately 7.8 x 5.1 x 11.6 inches and weighs 7 pounds 1 ounce while each of the speakers measures 5.5 x 9.7 x 11.6 inches and weighs 3 pounds 2 ounces. An infrared remote control is bundled with the CMT-BX1. Other accessories included in the package are AM and FM antennae and 2 AA batteries for the remote control.

The CMT-BX1’s front-loading CD player can read regular factory-pressed audio CDs as well as CD-R/RW and MP3-CDs burned by the user. The AM/FM tuner comes with 30 slots for preset radio stations (10 for AM stations and 20 for FM) for the user’s favorite radio programs. It also features accurate auto scan tuning. For connecting other audio sources such as a portable media player, personal computer or gaming console, the CMT-BX1 comes with a standard 3.5 mm audio-in port.

Each of the bass-reflex type speakers utilize a full-range 3.1 inch driver. With a total power output of 30 watts (15 watts per channel), the Sony CMT-BX1 has enough power fill a small room with stereo sound. Sound enhancement technologies featured by the CMT-BX1 include DSGX (Dynamic Sound Generator X-tra) and Mega Bass.
