The E71 is probably the best handset available for prosumers. It takes what many want from an iPhone and need from a BlackBerry and puts it into a package that is well designed. Features such as the dual-mode -- which literally switches the device from a work mode to a play mode -- allow it to be further maximixed. The little improvements to the Active Standby keep it usable at a moment's notice. Some areas of concern with the E71 include the user interface: menus,... Read more
Comparisons ( read in-depth comparisons at WirelessInfo.com ) Primary competitors of the E71 are other devices with full keyboards like the Blackberry Curve and Samsung Blackjack II. The E71 has a lot to like, with an above average camera and excellent calendar and contact management features. The only snag is its $500 price tag. The Blackberry Curve can be had for hundreds of dollars less and has comparable organizer features, a good camera, and does a better job with... Read more
When we first saw the E71 in person, we were shocked at its extreme good looks and thinness-- not something that happens often with a business smartphone phone. It's hard to find fault with this smartphone-- Nokia did an excellent job. Though we've harped on the camera, it's only because we have high expectations for Nokia phones-- we'll cut it (just a little) slack since the E71 is a business phone. Performance and stability are excellent, call quality and reception are... Read more
Call quality was never an issue with the E71, as it easily lived up to our expectations of a Nokia-branded phone. Ring tones sounded quite loud and we were happy with them even in noisy environments. The vibro alter was of moderate strength. As of today, no other device on the market can stand up to the Nokia E71, as, by and large, every QWERTY-enabled device these days is unique in its own way. So how do we assess the performance of such phones? In my opinion, the... Read more

One of the few business phones that will stand out from the crowd, Nokia E71 is definitely high value for low price. If you wanted to buy the E61 or E61i, but were stopped by their big size or heavy weight, then E71 will certainly please you. Read more

I have been eyeing on the blackberry since last year the only thing that kept me from buying it was the poor screen resolution and my unfamiliarity of its interface. After reading good reviews on E71, i decided to get this. This phone has been amazing! Its all that i wanted, a phone with a querty keypad with 16 million color resolution which is very important with a familiar interface and affordable price. The pictures are a little "greenish" after i uploaded it on my... Read more
Bought this phone October 17, 08. Overwhelming at first takes about a weeks worth of use to really start getting use to everything it offers. The camera is probably its only weak spot but really what cell phone has an amazing camera but this E71 offers tons of adjustments for better pictures and exposure. Wi-Fi is fast and the voice quality on phone calls is 2nd to none with a conversation walking crossing a bridge over the 404/401 with tons of cars zipping by and my... Read more
