The Samsung SGH-F480 features a full touch screen with TOUCHWIZ, customizable drag and drop technology, 5 megapixel camera with power LED, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, and also blogging directly from the mobile.

Features

The Samsung SGH-F480 features a 2.8" QVGA LCD that provides users will a full touch navigation function. In addition to this, it has Haptic technology that responds when a selection is made on its touch screen. It is also featured with a new touch User interface that is intuitive providing both digital and analog experience. Besides this, it has widgets for users to customize the user interface with applications that they choose. The Samsung SGH-F480 incorporates a 5 megapixel camera for both still images and videos; it is equipped with auto focus. The camera is front facing, which allows video calls with users that have compatible devices with 3G and HSDPA. Its camera feature include smile shot, image stabilization, power LED and Quick view. Images can be edited and uploaded directly to a blog from the mobile device. The camera also has face-detection that automatically adjusts the settings to ensure that people are captured in the photos. The smile shot feature identifies when the subject is smiling and automatically takes the picture. The Samsung SGH-F480 also includes music features and its audio technology is by Bang & Olufsen ICE power. It features a music player that plays all music formats and also has an integrated FM Radio with RDS. Besides this music can be played whilst having artwork from the album covers displayed, as well as whilst scrolling to the music playlist. Files can be downloaded via its USB 2.0 Full Speed, Bluetooth 2.0 or HSDPA 7.2 Mbps.

    In our tests, we took a some shots during the day on the streets, close-ups of flowers and a night shot. The daylight shots look sharp with vibrant colours but the close-ups looked slightly pixelated. The pixelation is caused by the digital zoom which was used because the camera lacks a macro mode. The night shot detail was surprising but it suffered from blurriness even with the anti-shake feature enabled. This is possibly due to the slow-shutter speeds the camera needs... Read more

    The camera counts the impressive 5 megapixels and comes with autofocus, power LED flash, image and video stabilization. Of course, there is audio and video player with multiple file format support, as well as FM Radio with RDS.     I love the touch-screen. And it seems much better than my previous Giorgio Armani that was more heavy and expensive. I also enjoy listening to music by mp3 and FM radio. The pictures taken by its camera have better quality and clearer. Read more

    The touchscreen interface works well. Most people seem to have no problems using the phones, although fast texting can be a bit of a mission. Both have great cameras. The camera on the F480 is very similar to the one on the F490 - 5 megapixels with autofocus, digital zoom and LED flash. The F480 introduces a new gee-whiz feature called "Smile Shot". According to Samsung, "Smile Shot is able to identify when the subject is smiling and automatically takes a picture."... Read more
