Samsung SPF-72V

The Samsung SPF-72V is a Wi-Fi enabled digital photo frame that measures 8.24 x 5.88 x 3.44 inches (W x H x D) with the included stand and weighs 1.3 pounds.

Playback

The digital photo frame not only supports playback of JPEG image files but also MP3 audio files as well as MPG, MPEG-4, and WMV9 video files. It supports a maximum image resolution of 3200 x 2400 pixels or 8 megabytes. Users can choose between thumbnail viewing, slide show, interval, or image rotate modes.

Display

The SPF-72V features a 7-inch TFT LCD with a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels. It has a brightness range of 200 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 300:1.

Connectivity

All the ports are located at the frame’s back panel. These include one upstream USB 2.0, one downstream USB 2.0, a headphone connection jack, a DC-in jack, and a memory card slot. The Kensington lock is also located at the back. However, the locking device has to be purchased separately.

Memory

The Samsung SPF-72V comes with a built-in memory of 64 megabytes. The available memory card slot is compatible with Secure Digital (SD), Multi-Media Cards (MMC), Memory Stick (MS), and xD Picture Cards.

Power

The SPF-72V comes with a 12-volt external power adapter. It consumes 12 watts when in maximum mode, 10 watts when in normal mode, and less than 1 watt when turned off.

Audio

The digital photo frame is equipped with a built-in stereo speaker. The headphone jack can also be used to listen to audio and video files. 

Additional Features

Through the Samsung SPF-72V’s Wi-Fi connection, users can receive images from RSS feeds directly through the frame.

Other features of the digital photo frame include a 45 and 90-degree rotating stand allowing users to enjoy their images in portrait or landscape mode. It also comes with a sliding prevention holder to ensure that the frame stays in plays even on slippery surfaces.
