This camera comes with 3.4x optical zoom Lens and a large 2.5-inch LCD(low-temperature polycrystalline silicone TFT color). PowerShot A470 also features ISO 1600 and High ISO Auto settings that reduce the effects of camera shake and sharpen subjects even in low-light conditions. This camera has a 1.9 fps full-res continuous shooting speed.

Canon’s Enhanced Face Detection Technology automatically sets focus, exposure, flash and white balance. The Canon PowerShot A470 Digital Motion Detection Technology automatically reduces blur by calculating subject movement and selecting ideal exposure and ISO settings. Canon PowerShot A470 comes with a DIGIC III Image Processor which produces sharper images and improves functionality. This camera is equipped with a ‘Print/Share Button’ which allows users to print and download directly from PIXMA Photo Printers and SELPHY Compact Photo Printers. The Print/Share button also allows users to shoot vertically.

The Canon PowerShot A470 also offers users with an Auto, 10 Scenes and a Manual exposure mode. Powershot A470 accepts SD/SDHC/MMC memory cards, and comes with a 32MB card. This camera is both Direct print and PictBridge Compliant. PowerShot A470 supports USB 2.0. The Canon PowerShot A470 ships with AA-size Alkaline Battery (x2)A470 Body, SD Memory Card SDC-32M, Wrist Strap WS-800 , Digital Camera Solution CD-ROM, USB Interface Cable IFC-400PCU and an AV Cable AVC-DC300.

    The ergonomics of this camera are great. The camera has a very solid, sturdy feel in your hands, and is easily operated with one or two hands. The controls are well placed and easily reached with your right thumb. The only complaint is that they have added the zoom controls to the directional buttons.     the owners guide could be more detailed. It does come with a CD that offers more help. Overall it takes crisp pics and you can plug camera into printer and print anywhere without it being connected to a PC. Read more
