The jump most people make from even the best quality point & shoot (P&S) or prosumer digital camera (let alone the huge leap from a budget P&S) up to an entry-level digital SLR camera is usually mildly traumatic. There are now lots of choices from half a dozen excellent camera makers. The choice is further complicated by the fact that each and every entry-level DSLR is a fine camera in its own right, competitive with all the other entry-level models, and often supplied... The 10.2 megapixel (Mp) Nikon D60 is Nikon's latest entry-level DSLR with an 18-55mm VR kit lens, joining the D40 and D40x, and it packs more professional features and better imaging options than either of its predecessors. The ease-of-use and power under the hood make this a must-own camera, especially with a new price of $699 with the 18-55mm lens. Read more

The D60 is the latest refinement in Nikon's entry-level DSLR range. It is one of the smallest DSLRs ever made and features a simple feature-set, not to confuse people getting their first DSLR. Although it cannot be compared with high-end Nikon cameras, the Nikon D60 features strong ergonomics and build quality for its price. Read more

The Nikon D60 is a worthwhile entry-level D-SLR with solid image quality, but its features don't really make it stand out from the crowd. Read more

Great Camera for any first time SLR user. It is simple to use and with a 10 megapixils it delivers great photos. stats up fast and is ready to shoot within seconds. Auto focus works well. Battery life is awesome. I usuay take 400 to 500 pictures, with flash about 300, before a recharge. recharge time is less than a hour mos of the time. the only draw back is that is if the auto focus only works with the af-s lens. their is no auto focus motor in the camera. but if you... This is an absolute MUST for everyone looking to get a new camera! ...BUT, the price is a little to high in my opinion, I never would have got one if I never got mine for FREE!. Luckily a friend recommended this website to me before I went and bought one: ---- www.cameras.justgetitfree.com ---- . I checked out the website, completed ONE simple offer and met the requirements to receive one for FREE, it arrived a month later in the post! It was also shown on BBC and CNN... Read more

Its worth the money. Its super easy to use. I bought the ultra extreme 4GB memory card too and I can take pictures quicker than I thought, in between shots. It transfers the pics quicker to the card, so you don't waste time in between photos. It is superfast to zoom in and out, you just twist the lens. The shots are super clear. Plus with the free after rebate printer, how can you go wrong?! LOVE THIS CAMERA!2 of my photography friends recommended this exact camera and... Read more
