  shutter lag, which point and shoot is fastest,have 2yr old sony cyber, want to update, i miss to many sport shots mainly golf. the kids at big box stores dont offer much help and being in wichita ks. makes it worse! i was told maybe panasonic lumix tz5 but we dont have it. ???????

  ok so i have a rebel xt already,but i want something,more compact,like a point n shoot,but with awesome quality,almost professional looking,& has a fast shutter speed,for when im taking pics of my kids playing.also,is there a good camera or maybe some advice,a tip for taking good night pictures,like firework,s,candles,sight seeing at night,ect?thanx!

  My daughte-in-laws have new cannon point and shoot cameras and love them. One has the SD 1100IS and the other the SD 790IS. I want to buy a new camera. I don't mind spending more than they did if the camera is worth it. What do you sugguest?
