Question: fast shutter, for sports,not slr

shutter lag, which point and shoot is fastest,have 2yr old sony cyber, want to update, i miss to many sport shots mainly golf. the kids at big box stores dont offer much help and being in wichita ks. makes it worse! i was told maybe panasonic lumix tz5 but we dont have it. ???????
