  That is what I have been told before, but I got a dvd player that was inexpensive (about $49.00) and it won't play them. It is only 4 months old. I haven't been able to find many that say they play DL online.

  most any newer ones will, but usually it will be listed in the product specifications on the box and on the mfg website
