I know that I'll have to spring for BluRay eventually, but for now, this does a great job on our new large HD TV. The upconvert makes a standard definition DVD look virtually HD; it plays absolutely every modern format, including computer-burned DVDs; the price is unbeatable; the HDMI jack allowed the simplest and best connection to the TV; installation is a cinch; it may be my imagination, but the remote seems to be more powerful than my other remotes, and doesn't... "I have this connected to a 50 inch samsung dlp. I love how when you put a dvd in the dvd and tv automatically link up and it starts to play the dvd without changing anything. I also like how there isn't a lot of display on the dvd player so that when you are watching a movie you don't see the bright lights under the tv." Read more

Great DVD player, amazing clarity. Circuit City has the best price around for the Samsung LCD TVs but Sams Club currently saves you about $20 on this great player. Except for the somewhat slow eject disc this player is great and a sleek unit. Read more

I hooked this player up to my 26-inch Samsung LCD television using an HDMI cable and have had no problems at all. Playback is crisp and without too many stutters (with some DVDs I've experienced this but it's not a showstopper). Read more
