After playing this installment of Fire Emblem, once has to wonder why the series took so long to reach American soil. While I've always enjoyed the Shining Force series and I love Final Fantasy Tactics, Fire Emblem is easily a new favorite and I certainly hope that this isn't the last time we'll see a Fire Emblem game in the United States. Brilliant, amazing, superb! But as good as Final Fantasy Tactics Advance? Not quite. Intelligent Systems shows newcomers to the genre that the SRPG is not just a geeky, stats-filled bore-a-thon but can be a finely crafted piece of art that is both interesting and fun.
