The HP iPAQ 510 is a PDA, mobile phone, media player, and camera in one device that measures 1.91 x 4.21 x 0.64 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 3.6 ounces. It is powered by a TI OMAP 850 200-MHz processor and has 64 megabytes of SDRAM. It runs on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard which comes with Outlook Mobile, Office Mobile (Word, Excel, and Power Point), and Internet Explorer for Smartphones.

Display

The iPAQ510 features a 2-inch micro-reflective TFT screen with a resolution of 220 x 176 pixels. It supports up to 262,114 colors and has a dot pitch of .018 millimeters.

Memory

The HP iPAQ 510 comes with an internal flash memory of 128 megabytes and also has a MicroSD slot.

Battery

The device is powered by a removable 100-mAh rechargeable lithium ion battery that can last up to 6.5 hours of talk time and up to 188 hours of standby time.

Mobile Phone

The HP iPAQ 510 also functions as a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE mobile phone that is AT&T Network Certified.

Media Player

The iPAQ510 comes with Windows Media Player 10 and supports playback of audio, video, and image files. It outputs audio through the built-in stereo speaker or through headphones using the 2.5mm stereo headphone jack. The device also has an integrated microphone for voice recording.

Camera

The PDA is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel digital camera that takes photos of up to SXGA (1280 x 1040 pixels) resolution. It saves images in GIF, JPEG, BMP, or PNG formats.

It can also be used to capture videos of up to QCIF (176 x 144 pixels) resolution.

Connectivity

The iPAQ 510 supports high-speed wireless connectivity to the internet, email, and corporate data through IEEE 802.11b which has an operating distance of up to 304 meters. It also connects to other devices at up to 10 meters through Bluetooth.

    just got mine last week from a reputable dealer. according to him acquiring one would be under reservation but i just have mine first in line. I would consider this a very handy phone. used it for a week and I have no complaints whatsoever except that I am used to the vibrate mode with sound. with this you have to choose if vibrate or ring tone. and lastly..I am really not in favor of the headset it goes with..it really sucks (sorry) i bought a bluetooth headset and it...     I've had this phone for a month and was not sure about the the phone Handheld PC combination. I was used to having both separate. It ended up being a great choice especially with the features with tis phone. The capability of a handheld organizer, constant contact of a push e-mail device, and the power of an office phone system made it a unregrettable choice. Read more
