It has been said of this lens that when it is mounted on any DX type Nikon, the angle will be equal to that which is "produced by a 24 to 127.5mm focal length lens on a 35mm film or Nikon FX-format camera". Vibration reduction in the lens in theory will give the ability to shoot at shutter speeds up to four stops slower than you would be able to otherwise, according to Nikon, and to minimize the blur to helpyou achieve sharper photos in the hand held arena.
