With a super fast wide angled to middle of the road telephoto, the AF-S will optimize your edge to edge sharpness whether you use the Nikon Fx or the DX format sensoring.

The lens has enhanced optical formulas, that are engineered to provide you with some increased contrast and color and to give you superior image integrity.

Providing two ED elements and pgm lenses that control the aberrations while also giving you extra sharp photos even when wide open, the Nikkor also has the much vaunted Nano Crystal coating which will purportedly help to reduce flare and ghosting in your photos.

Equipped with the silent wave motor the Nikkor will offer you higher speeds in auto focusing, while giving you superior silence during the operations, and the Internal Focus will give that added quiet while not changing the length of the lens, helping you to retain the correct distance through the focal range. Subject can be as close to you as about 15 inches and still get a good focus. The Nikkor also is equipped with professional quality dust and moisture resistance and the rugged construction will help it to survive some hard use.

I'm surprised that the new 24-70mm Nikkor is obviously so much better than other lenses. When I ran comparisons against cheaper and older lenses, I fully intended to see the old stuff be about the same. Nope, the 24-70mm outdoes them all. People rightfully... Read more

Very happy with multi-purpose lens. Excellent for inside shots, candids, low-light conditions. I use for most everything except portraits and outdoor longer-zoom needs. Highly recommended. Read more
