After going all squat/squarish with 2007's iPod nano, Apple has returned to slender for this year's, 4th-generation model. In fact the new nano is the slimmest iPod yet: a mere 6.2mm thick, with a hand-friendly curved aluminium case and scratch-resistant glass screen. There are nine colours and two capacities to choose from – this 8GB model or the £149 16GB unit. Sadly, each still comes with the best-binned Apple earphones. The nano takes many cues from the iPod Touch... Read more

Autumn is my favorite time of year for a couple different reasons. I love the cooler weather, the changing colors of the leaves and ... new Apple iPods! For the last 4 years around this time, we've been introduced to a new iPod nano and this year is no different... Read more

Overall, we're pretty satisfied with the new nano, even though it's nowhere near as sexy as the newly revamped . And on a small, dedicated audio player that's focused on slim design and pocketability, we don't feel too slighted that the nano lacks wireless features like the Zune, especially given the excellent integration between the hardware and iTunes software. But despite the inclusion of an accelerometer, we're giving Apple fair warning that the competition is really... Read more

4th Gen iPod Nano — We Want Our Square Form Factor Back! Here's a hard truth: Even if Apple decided to carve its new Nano out of petrified poo and bless it with a Braille display, the interface alone would still make Cupertino's latest flash-based music player leagues better than the competition. So what's our opinion of the new Nano? Well, it's just like the old Nano, just a little roomier (fine) and shaped like an airfoil (weird). This new aerodynamic form doesn't... Read more

My son wanted an ipod nano for christmas, so we got him one from amazon. He loves it and I am amazed at how much data it can hold! We travel a lot to see family and friends, and now that we are all drivers, we can also all have breaks to watch/listen to our favorites on the ipod nano. When the whole family enjoys someone's christmas gift, that's wonderful. thanks. Read more

Simply a great product. I've always been a PC user, but when it comes to music players, Apple definitely has the edge. My friend has a Zune and that thing is a disaster. I had a Sansa that quit working which this replaced and it was always full of problems. Read more

i love ipod nano, and this one its really great but there are things that makes me rate it with 3 stars.. first of all, the battery life has not improve.. i think the battery actually has less duration than the ipod nano 3G. Second, the shake thing to change the songs.. you really have to shake it or it wont change the song, so its better to just click the wheel.. Third, when the screen turns its really cool, but it changes to the coverflow and if you what to turn up the... Read more

I will not supply a real name as this is a xmas gift aand yes my daughter would read these to see if a family member wrote a review to see if someone bought her one. First i think 8gb is too small for a video player and more personal device so the previous model with 60gb for $60 less is my choice. She wants the nano because it is new, small, sheek, shown too much on tv, is ’in’, so ’hot’, definitely ’cool’, super fly and hot pink. I doubted getting the... Read more

I received this item along with another item. i am satisfied with the products but was disappointed with the packing. the shipper used small airbags. the problem was the bags deflated and the contents were loose inside the box and subject to bumping around. my ipod had initial problems with charging then freezing up but now seems to work properly. the problems may or may not have been a result of being bounced around during shipping.
