Its quality display of 320 x 240 dpi permits the scanning and viewing of any music, photo and movie data while downloading music. It weighs 0.45 pounds, with dimensions of 5.75 by 0.4 by 6.58 inches. It has 4 Clear Audio Technologies namely the Digital Sound Enhancement Engine which brings back the frequency of higher sound usually lost when being compressed, Clear Stereo that lessens the leaking into channels, Clear Bass that improves the bass sound and reduces distortion, and the EX Series Headphones.

    Overall, the 8GB Sony NWZ-A818 delivers impressive sound quality through its excellent (though strangely short) supplied earbuds. Navigation is intuitive, and the battery life is long.     The 818 Walkman video player is Sony's top-of-the-line portable player, part of their 810 Series and the first the company is billing as "open standard." Sony has finally seen the light and will now support music downloaded from today's most popular sites in a variety of formats even as it phases out its closed ATRAC format and the CONNECT music store and software management system.     My neighbour bought a new iPod Nano. I tried it out and was impressed with it. But then,I bought a Black Slimline Sony NWZ-A818 8gb. I was blown away by it. The music is much clearer, the pictures and videos are like that of a state-of-the-art TV! Any jealousy of my neighbour vanished,and has an easy music transfer system,using Windows Media Player.
