The NWZ-S616F is available with 4 gigabytes of integrated flash memory with no expansion slot and comes in four colors: black, pink, red and silver. It measures 1.7 x 3.1 x 0.5 inches and weighs 1.8 ounces. Its display is a 1.8 inch backlit TFT LCD running at a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. Sony estimates that the Li-ion battery will last 33 hours of continuous audio playback or 8 hours of video.
The NWZ-S616F supports the following audio formats: AAC, MP3, PCM, WMA and protected WMA. MPEG4 and M4V videos can also be played back on the device. The player comes with a built-in 5-band equalizer with 5 presets. Also included are the following sound enhancement features: Digital Sound Enhancement, Clear Bass, Clear Stereo and Surround Sound effects.
This portable media player has a built-in FM radio tuner with an autoscan feature and 30 slots for user-defined preset stations. The NWZ-S616F also has a photo viewer with support for the JPEG format.
