This budget all-around 24 inch LCD monitor form Benq measures 17.4 x 22 x 6.7 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 13.6 pounds. The G2400W’s stand allows for only forward and backward tilting and does not feature pivot, height or swivel adjustment options. It has 100 x 100 mm mounting holes in the back for use with VESA standard desk or wall mounts. Also notable is the monitor’s power consumption rating. At 55 watts the Energy Star-certified G2400W is one of the most energy efficient monitors in its 24 inch class.
The 24 inch widescreen TFT Active Matrix LCD runs at a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels (WUXGA) with a dot pitch of 0.27 mm. The G2400W features a fast 5 ms gray-to-gray response time, a brightness level of 250cd/m² and 1000:1 contrast ratio. The manufacturer lists the G2400W as having support for up to 16.7 million colors and a 160 degree viewing angle for both horizontal and vertical planes.
One of the most notable features of the Benq G2400W is the array of connectivity options. The monitor not only has D-Sub VGA and DVI ports but HDMI as well. With HDCP support, the G2400W can be used to plug in next generation consoles and playback High Definition content in full HD. To take full advantage of the HDMI port, the G2400W also provides a headphone/line-in jack for audio output.

The BenQ G2400W is a great monitor at a reasonable price. Supporting the most popular types of data connections, HDMI and DVI, this monitor should be able to take you quite a while into the future. Also, if you own an older computer that doesn't have a digital monitor connection, you can still use this monitor with its VGA connection. Got this monitor last week and delighted with it. No dead pixels, really fast delivery, better than expected image/video quality and lots of connectivity potential. Things I've notived so far: Gaming on the monitor is great (tried Crysis and TF2 so far); XviD/DivX's looked better than expected (using the movie preset); Monitor is surprisingly light; No problems web browsing (text legibility and colours are fine); Getting a hd wallpaper is a must ;-) 1920x1200!
