WIth the 790 FX Chipset, the M3A32-MVP Deluxe features AMD’s newest system bus technology - HyperTransport 3.0 (HT 3.0). HT 3.0 provide 2.6 times the bandwidth of HyperTransport 1.0, making for a faster system. The board is also the first AMD platform to natively support DDR2 1066. For even faster graphics performance, the M3A32-MVP Deluxe features quad PCI Express 2.0 x16 and ATI’s CrossFireX technology. With CrossFireX, the user can set anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, shading, and texture settings higher. And with the ATI Control Center, the user can see the effect of their configurations in 3D-rendered previews in real-time.
For users wishing to overclock their system, the Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe provides the Precision Tweaker 2 system and AI NOS technology. With Precision Tweaker 2, northbridge, southbridge and DRAM voltages can be tweaked in 0.02v increments. Asus’ patented AI NOS (Non-delay Overclocking System) is a dynamic overclocking technology that detects CPU load and automatically overclocks CPU speed when needed.
The M3A32-MVP Deluxe also offers convenient BIOS management features: ASUS O.C. Profile, CrashFree BIOS3 and EZ Flash2. These three features allow the user to store and load different BIOS settings, restore BIOS data from a USB flash disk and update the BIOS before booting into the operating system.
Other features of the M3A32-MVP Deluxe include an 8+2 Phase Power Design, the Stack Cool fanless cooling system and AI Gear 2. With AI Gear 2, the user can set profiles for different CPU frequency and vCore voltage configurations and switch between them in real-time.
See lessThis board was a bugger for me. I'm still discovering quirks here and there even though I've been using it for nearly a month. The initial problems were very, very discouraging and I'm glad I worked to troubleshoot things rather than simply dismissing the board as crap. The major point of frustration was incessant crashing in Windows XP 64-bit while the main SATA controller was in IDE mode. This should not happen Ever. ASUS was unable to reproduce the error, though. Out of sight and out of mind usually means no one even knows–or cares–that you're alive. That’s the problem AMD’s chipset division has faced lately. Read more
So far there are very few AM2+ motherboards on the market, with most of them coming from ASUS itself and Gigabyte. The ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe is actually the first AM2+ motherboard we have been able to test so far and as a result we were unable to compare it to another AM2+ board. We had to resort to comparing it against the ASUS P5E3 Deluxe which uses the high-end Intel X38 chipset and supports Core 2 processors. On the other hand, this gave us a clearer understanding of... The Asus M3A32MVP Deluxe WiFi motherboard was just awesome to work with. The board sets up easy, and has the Asus name to back it, which means absolute quality. I will say right off the bat that the only drawback of the board is that it is an AMD board. Whether you may think the following statement is nice to say or not does not negate its truth: Right now, AMD cannot compete with Intel when it comes to CPU performance. With that in mind, as good as this board... Read more
Phenom is finally here, but seems six months late and still a work in progress. New BIOS updates cure stability issues, making the M3A32-MVP a solid choice for Phenom users. Read more
Mine shows 49C idle and 54C load, that seems off for a 5000+ x2 black edition at 3.0GHz with 0.01v increase to 1.36v Read more
Hi all, Just interested to know if this board can run nVidea GFX Cards in SLI (I'm looking at the XFX 880GT), or if you can only run ATIs in Crossfire? Thanks! Read more
