   Before we wrap this all up, we are going to go over our long-term impressions after using this board for a few weeks. Overall, we feel Gigabyte did a great job putting together a solid board with not many issues at all. Solid capacitors and overall build quality are quite strong, the chipset very runs cool, and voltage is rock solid. The only negative attribute to the DS3R that we can see is that the auto voltages set when running 500+ FSB are excessively high.... Read more

   The Gigabyte EP45-DS3R is an impressive board which offers great performance and features for under £90/$130. While the board’s performance isn’t groundbreaking, the overclocking capabilities should be more than enough for the general enthusiast and the rear panel has great connectivity as well as ATI Crossfire support.    Pricing: As mentioned the Gigabyte GA-EP45 DS3R with dual PCI-Express 16x slots, P45 chipset support, and 8 USB 2.0 ports among other features can be had for $128.50 from MWave . The P45 definitely offers a lot of bang for the buck over more expensive $200+ motherboards. Read more

   GIGABYTE produces several models with the P45 chipset. For this particular review, we will be taking a look at the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3R (DDR2) version.
