Brother MFC-9440CN

The Brother MFC-9440CN is an all-in-one color laser printer, scanner, copier, and fax machine. It measures 17 x 19 x 19.2 inches and weighs 72.6 pounds. The machine features a back-lit monochrome LCD display for previewing images and documents before printing. The Brother MFC-9440CN supports direct connectivity through Hi-Speed USB 2.0 and PictBridge compatible digital cameras. Scanned images can also be saved in JPEG or PDF format directly onto a USB flash drive. It also has a 10/100 Base-TX interface for network connectivity. The machine features a paper tray that can hold up to 250 sheets at a time. This can be expanded to 800 pages using an optional 500-sheet paper tray. It also has a multipurpose tray that can hold up to 50 sheets and an automatic document feeder that can hold up to 35 pages. The paper trays and the automatic document feeder can accommodate a wide range of paper sizes from 5.8 x 5.8 inches to 8.5 x 14 inches.

Printer

The Brother MFC-9440CN features a color laser printer that makes use of 4 toner cartridges. The first is a black toner that can print approximately 2,500 pages and the other 3 are cyan, magenta, and yellow toners that can print approximately 1,500 pages each. The machine prints at a maximum resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi at up to 21 pages per minute for both black and colored printing.

Scanner

The Brother MFC-9440CN has features for both black & white and color scanning at a maximum optical resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi which can be interpolated to 19,200 dpi.

Copier

The stand-alone flatbed copier can copy letter or A4 sizes at 17 copies per minute. It can reduce and enlarge copies from 25% up to 400%. It also has 2-in-1, 4-in-1, and sorting functions.

Fax Machine

The Brother MFC-9440CN is capable of faxing in color and black & white at a speed of 33.6 Kbps (approximately 2 seconds per page). The machine also has a fax memory of up to 500 pages.
