    Did you know these printers can work their magic on printable CDs and DVDs too? Ever wonder why there's a little panel that pivots down on the front of the printer? Canon has intentionally disabled the printers sold in the USA, but it's very easy to bypass their modification. Go to eBay and/or Google for "pixma CD print" and you'll see how to do it. You'll need to buy a roller assembly and a CD tray; whole shebang is about $20. Read more

    This printer produceS excellent prints from any decent digital file. I have had good results in 4x6, 5x7, and 8x10 prints. Very vibrant color, good blacks, excellent contrast. I like the fact that you can feed paper from the top and from a side-mounted cassette. Makes it easy to use two different types/sizes of paper without having to change one.
