Optoma's on a roll, they've now impressed me twice, in just over a month, and I think, have two good projectors to do battle against the 3LCD competition, and to give home theater folks some really good choices in the lower price ranges. Read more

I've had this projector for a little over a month and absolutely love it! I have a fairly large apartment (14' ceilings) so getting a projector was an inevitable purchase for me. After doing some thorough research - because who wants to drop $1K for something that doesn't work - I found that the Optoma HD65 was pretty much the best quality for my budget ($1,000). To keep it simple, here's the pros and cons: Pros: - 15' x 9' screen! That's 180 inches across! And the best... Read more

I bought this projector to replace an Infocus IN72. The 720p resolution makes a big difference in picture quality and the contrast ratio is very good. Black looks very black. The projector is much quicker to turn on and turn off than my previous one. When turning the projector off, a countdown is shown on the screen and the fan runs very fast, but once the timer reaches 0 the projector is off (completely off, not stuck in a cooling state for 5 minutes). You can start the... Read more
"This projector has been a great investment. First, the picture is phenomenal. Without that, nothing else really matters, and this projector delivers a a great picture from any source connected through HDMI. A bit of warning, if you are looking to connect cable or satellite through S-video, don't expect the same level of clarity. The Wii connected through the regular video connection is not bad, but nothing compares to the X-Box connected through the HDMI, which is also... Read more
