   Given that Cocoto Fishing Master was originally released as a full game for the PS2 (complete with fishing controller), at 700 Wii points on WiiWare it might seem like a bargain. But when you consider the repetitiveness, control issues, and the fact that you can see all the game has to offer in five hours, the value of this purchase still comes into question. 3. Master this fishing game for a world of wrist pain

   You’ll be surprised at how this rather low-tech console game, that should rightly be a mini-game in a bigger release, draws you much like a decent downloadable casual game. Before this could get too gamey sitting on store shelves, the publisher wisely dropped the price to $20, which is where it should have started. Read more

   Fishing Master is a lot of fun, which is the point. There aren’t any extra bells or whistles, but true fishing fans don’t need fancy. We are enjoying it, and the price is right at $30.  I can truthfully say that we’ve had more fun with this game than with some more detailed and more expensive games. A good gift for dad this Christmas season. Read more

   Closing Comments Fishing Master isn’t all bad, it’s just too shallow – again, we apologize – to be worth even the “budget” price off $40. The Wii motion works for the most part, as you can crank the line, pull from side to side when prompted to battle the fish, and even move the pole in a true 1:1 if for no other reason than just to do it.
