The D-Link (DIR-615) is a wireless N router that will provide a good wireless signal for your home network than many existing wireless 802.11g routers. Wireless N routers such as this one offer a good solution to sharing internet connections in the home as well as exchanging files such as videos, photos, and documents. D Link Wireless N products use what is known as the "Intelligent Antenna " to transmit more than one stream of data which will permit you to get the wireless signal even in the further nooks of the home network. Compatible with your current existing 802.11g and 802.11b wireless devices, it offers a frequency band of 2.4 GHz and offers WPA2, 128-bit WEP, 64-bit WEP, and WPA encryption capabilities.

With Ethernet switching protocol, the networking features of the Dlink DIR 615 include VPN pass through, Firewall, parental controls and Auto uplink, as well as a four port switch. Status indicators on your DLink DIR 61 include Link activity, Power, Link OK, and network status

    The speed and connectivety of 802.11N is awesome, so if you can work around not having WEP, go for it. For best results, at least until they get past the draft and give us a final verdict on how N will work, stick with same brand wireless equipment on both router and client. I have a Linksys N setup on a moble cart that has a 42" LCD panel on it, and it gets wheeled around the top floor of a building and yields 470mbs down to 180mbs, depending on how many walls the...     I finally upgraded my laptop to a MacBook with 802.11n built-in. Thus I eventually wanted to get a good N router at a decent price. I think $100+ for a router is simply ridiculous. Well, when Apple upgraded the 802.11x drivers for Airport in the 10.5.2 update, my Linksys 802.11g router with the latest firmware was no longer functional, as it would not connect at all.
