• Attempting to upgrade driver results in adapter no longer workin

  I tried to uninstall this thing and reinstall it with a newer version of the driver that reportedly cured some problems, but now it won't reinstall claiming that the name is already in use, and now even though I uninstalled it again.. and cleaned the registry it still appears in device manager and says it can't be uninstalled when I try to uninstall it from Device Manager becasue "maybe it is needed to boot the system.
