It sure is nice to see Conker back in action. Ever since parting withmy N64, games like this seem to have gone the way of the dodo. I canremember getting Conker: Bad Fur Day when it just came out and playingit for hours. To be able to play Conker once again, this time on anupdated platform is a real treat. There might be some of you that have never had the chance to playConker: Bad Fur Day in its original day. That’s probably a good thing,as you’ll get to experience... Read more
Rare did deliver a solid & stunning video game with Conker: Live & Reloaded. Conker is entertaining playing as either the single player Bad Fur Day story or in Multiplayer mode on Xbox Live. Not having played the original game in many years it was fun to relive BFD again and get a laugh from the crazy characters and antics. Multiplayer was fun too – especially when you got a full game together on Xbox Live. Conker LAR has impressed and I can only help but get... Read more
Rare has finally delivered the goods this time around, although Conker: Live and Reloaded still won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. The single-player Bad Fur Day is platforming genius, although it still slightly suffers from a few of the same issues that plagued it on the N64. The multiplayer modes are incredibly fun once you get passed frustrating learning curve. There is a good amount of depth, but patience is not always a virtue that today’s gamer possesses. This is... If you haven't played Conker's Bad Fur Day (and are over 16 of course) then Conker Live & Reloaded is definitely a recommended purchase for the single-player game alone. Whilst it's not completely subtitled there's enough of it for the game to be enjoyable and it's definitely a game that still manages to be different from everything else out there. Those who have played through the Nintendo 64's Conker's Bad Fur Day might be a bit more reluctant to pick up a game that... Read more
Could it be true? Is it possible that a new Rare game has hit the shelves? Checking through my sources, I have confirmed the game sitting before me is real. Its not an illusion, dream or prank. Conker: Live and Reloaded has finally been released from the restraints of development hell and if anything, it further proves that the Xbox is still capable of some breathtaking visuals. Read more
First, let me just say that I have never played the original Nintendo 64 title and also that what I did not like about this game were these: 1) the frustrating mid-levels 2) the poop jokes that I thought were a bit overboard, considering that the power-ups were “magic chocolate”, and 3) the ending (post credits) of the Bad Fur Day mode was not too funny, especially that most of the game, such the climactic fight scene and the dénouement before the end credits, I... The combined package is a pretty solid set. BFD will remain a ‘classic’ game and having it for a modern system is great. The multiplayer is a fun addition, and while it seems to be what the packaging/advertising for the game is trying to sell, feels overall weaker than the solo game, though certainly not a letdown. If you’re a mature gamer, you’ll probably want to get your hands on this just to at least have in the library, however, this is still a title... Read more
