Science has unlocked the gates to the unknown. A sci-fi horror masterpiece, DOOM 3® is like nothing you’ve ever experienced. Dramatic storyline, pulse-pounding action, incredible graphics, and revo…
Very entertaining and one of the few true co-op games out there, I think Doom 3 got the right hype but for the wrong reasons. A solid FPS horror shooter in a genre of generic and simple-minded competitors. Read more
DOOM 3 on the Xbox is a fantastic game for many reasons. I am a gamer that grew up playing the classic PC shooters that defined today’s genre so I very much enjoyed the traditional style of gameplay. I found the amazing production value and chilling atmosphere of the game did more than make up for any of DOOM 3’s gameplay issues. Despite a handful of gameplay and mechanical shortcomings, DOOM 3’s visuals, audio and environment set the stage for a gaming experience... Read more
To put it bluntly Doom 3 is not a game for deaf gamers as it makes no attempt to cater for deaf gamers and it's a slap in the face for fans of the series that have waited patiently for the game to arrive on the Xbox. This game is one of my favorite titles on the original Xbox 1. For the purposes of this review I am using my copy of the Limited Edition version of Doom 3 which runs well on the Xbox 360 full-screen at about 720p (and the additional classic titles Doom 2 and Ultimate Doom run flawlessly as well on the 360, but retain the 4:3 aspect ratio, meaning that the black bars will be prominent on the left and right sides of High-Definition television screens). This game does not... Read more
It was just one other person as there’s a two player cap. We played for about two hour blocks, usually late at night when we could coordinate being home. They shorten the length a little as well as change the plot to accomodate the speed, but it still took us a good three or four weeks to get through it. And you’re right about the surround sound system. This is one of the few games I’ve played that practically requires a good sound setup to get the whole... Read more
very good game, but just gets incredibly boring and slow. got a few jumps out of it but most creepy things are just noises that you cant find a source to so you wander through without any real worry. Read more
