   Upon re-reading this review, I feel I’ve been a bit too hard on Republic Commando . For all its annoying faults, inconsistencies and peculiar glitches, the game manages to provide a solid ten hours of thrilling, kick-em-where-it-counts, shoot-em-up action.    Star Wars Republic Commando is a must for FPS fans and fans of the Star Wars universe. The action is relentless and the AI of your squad members and your enemies is great.    Of course, in order to actually finish each campaign, you will have to have completed your objectives, so don’t worry about command’s warnings about how you are not welcome if you fail. The missions are laid out so that in order to go on to the next one, you have to succeed. Dying, on the other hand, normally leads to failure, and is probably preferable to your character and your squad mates than trying to return disgraced. Read more

   Like Star Wars? Like blowing stuff up? Like shooting stuff up? If you answered yes to all of these, you definitely need to give Republic Commando a shot. Rent this title before you buy to see if you would really like it, but seriously it is an extremely solid title. Besides the lackluster multiplayer, the sound, visuals, mechanics, and gameplay are all very solid and exceed well over expectations in some cases. Read more
